Study abroad: What to know about U.S. universities and colleges

(AP) An international study abroad program is a popular option for college students looking to gain experience outside their home country.

But experts warn it’s not necessarily a good option for students who may not be fluent in English.

It’s also unclear whether the study abroad students who sign up for the program actually know what they’re getting into, since the university can’t guarantee that they will succeed in the U.K. or other countries.

The U.k. government does not offer free study abroad for British students.

A study abroad certificate program, which is offered by the Ullstein Ebert Foundation, provides certificates for people who are studying for a Bachelor’s degree in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain or the Netherlands.

The certificate can be used to enroll in a U.M.C. program that provides full-time academic courses and a work experience program, according to the foundation.
